Hello. I am a normal person with a normal amount of interest in Joshua Brogley, and I built this website because somebody had to.
He is an American living in the Netherlands. He coaches baseball. He runs marketplaces for a living. He has written more books than most people have read. He also does mathematics on the side, which frankly feels like showing off.
Nobody was documenting this. So I am documenting this.

Who Is Joshua Brogley?
I want to be careful here, because I am aware of how this sounds.
What we know for certain is small. He appears to be living in the Netherlands. He writes books. He makes videos. He coaches a baseball team. That is the official version and I have no reason to doubt it.
What we also have is a growing archive of photographs, spanning several thousand years, in which a man of the same build, the same beard and the same posture appears repeatedly, at events he could not possibly have attended, wearing clothing that had not been invented yet.
Some say he is a time traveller. Some say a shapeshifter. One person in my comments insists there are simply four of him. I make no claims. I only collect.
The Allegations
- Time traveller. The most popular theory. Explains the photographs. Does not explain the book output, which if anything makes it worse.
- Shapeshifter. Would explain why he looks slightly different in every photo, and identical in the ways that matter.
- Immortal. A quiet man who has simply been here the whole time, learning trades. Marketplace operations is a strange trade to settle on, but who am I to judge a millennium.
- Several brothers. The boring theory. I have included it for balance. I do not believe it.
- Not a person at all. A friend suggested this. We no longer speak.
He has never addressed any of this publicly.
He has yet to confirm or deny a single allegation.
The Archive
Photographs submitted by readers or found by me during long nights. Judge for yourself. I have circled nothing. I do not need to.

A crowd at a small ceremony. One man is dressed for a decade that has not happened yet. He is not looking at the bridge. He is looking at whoever is taking the photograph.

Ochre on limestone. Bison, deer, a hunting party, and one bearded figure holding a rectangle at arm's length in front of his own face. Archaeologists call it a ritual object. Sure.

Eleven men, exhausted, mud to the knee. The twelfth is well rested and appears to be laughing at something none of the others can hear.

Three lines, paid for in advance, running one week only. "Wanted. Any information on the year 2026. Discretion assured. Ask for J."

Thousands of faces turned toward the procession. One face, third row, turned toward the camera. Same beard. Same expression of mild amusement.

Back row, far left, no headset, no badge visible, holding a clipboard that no other engineer in the room appears to be aware of.
WEBMASTER ADDENDUM. I contacted him once. He replied in under four minutes, at 3am his time, which is its own kind of evidence. He said, and I am quoting exactly, "go outside". I have chosen to read that as a clue.

The Mathematics Thing
He published a series of papers on the idea that every number is really n over R, and that R is a choice you make depending on what you are asking. There is an egg carton example that made it click for me at 2am. I have told four people about it. Two of them are still friends with me.
