Types of Mogging: Face, Height, Frame, Fit, Status, Aura and Career Mog
Part of the series Teen Slang for Parents: Rizz, Aura, Mogging, Looksmaxxing and What They Mean
Every type of mogging is the same idea, outclassing someone, with a category attached that says where the comparison is being run. Face mog, height mog, frame mog, fit mog, status mog, aura mog, career mog, and a few joke ones. The list below is ranked in the only order that is useful to anyone: by how much of each category can actually be trained, from none to nearly all. That ranking is also the honest answer to what to do about being mogged in any of them.
Quick answer: The main types of mogging are height mog, face mog, frame mog, fit mog, status mog, aura mog and career mog, each naming the category in which one person outclasses another. Ranked by trainability: height (none), face (some), frame, fits, status, career and aura (nearly all).
Height, face, frame: what someone is
Height mog: taller, visibly, the least contestable and therefore the most quoted; and the only category that cannot be trained at all. Face mog: better facial features, mostly genetic, partly skin, sleep, grooming and body fat, which is the part the training books work on. Frame mog: broader shoulders, better build, the most trainable of the three, because a year of pulling more than pushing changes a frame. Height mogging has the full treatment of the first one.

Fit, status, career: what someone has
Fit mog: dressed better, the cheapest mog in the list and the one most people concede. Status mog: outclassed on money, position or social pull rather than looks, which is the category the adult version of the slang runs on. Career mog: the office version, a better title, a faster promotion, a louder résumé. All three are built, not born, and all three are exactly what the twelve-month training books are about, one level at a time: fits, money, skills.
Aura: what someone does
Aura mog: outclassed on presence, the person the room's attention moves toward. It is the newest category and the most trainable, because aura is a track record of kept standards read as composure, and track records are earned. Auramogging is the full post. The joke coinages, Netflix mog, sleep mog, tell you the pattern has run out of road: anything can be a mog if you attach the word.
What to do with the list
Read it from the bottom. Everything from frame down is built by the same thirty-day levels the book behind this post runs, with a mog check at the end of each that compares you against last month's you and never against a stranger. That is the only comparison in this entire vocabulary that a person can win on purpose. The mogging levels explain the system; the glossary has the abbreviations; does mogging work is the question the whole list is avoiding.
